I'm going to Northern Province!!!

Just got my official site posting, and I'm headed to a site just northeast of Kasama in Northern Province. I'll be the first Peace Corps volunteer ever at that site (no pressure or anything!), and I'm leaving tomorrow (the 30th) to head up to Kasama for a week and a half. I'll let you know more when I get back!

    Luckily I am not going alone. We have three other aquaculture volunteers and five health volunteers just from my intake. And there are ten or fifteen volunteers stationed there already. So while I will be alone at my site, there will be many other volunteers in the immediate vicinity to help me keep my sanity!

    hey mike! i hope things are going well in the Northern Province. last week i found out that one of my classmates served in the peace corps in zambia of all places. i'll see if he has any words of wisdom about the Northern Province and icthyocommerce.

    other news: as of the time of this post, michigan is 3-0. tate forcier has been working miracles for the team.

    i'll write a letter the first chance i get. until then, good luck at your post and watch out for hippos!
